Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance
Before stepping onto a stage to sing and play, it is absolutely essential that all aspects of pre-production are accounted for. Obviously choosing which songs to learn and perform is the first step, but beyond that, many and varied skills come into the picture. Live sound engineering, musical arranging, studio pre-production, equipment selection and maintenance, sound design (synthesizer programming) and many others.
Advanced Virtual Band Technology
Behind the
scenes, one of the secrets of the "Matrix Sound" is
the meticulous attention paid to the creation of our "Backing
Band".
Craig calls this "Advanced Virtual Band"(AVB)
technology. Rather than being any single piece of technology,
AVB is a tight
yet flexible combination of software (Digital Audio and
MIDI Workstation), various synthesizers and drum machines
(digital, analogue hardware
and virtual), and techniques employed by major touring
artists and record producers around the world.
This provides us with a extensive range of quality sounds and the means to shape them into reliable and unique musical arrangements.
Sounds complicated? You bet! But
when we play live, we want the very best for us and especially for
you, our customer. We believe it's worth it.
